WORK
6+ years of experience building conversational AI products. I joined Microsoft through the NLP research startup Semantic Machines and have been on the Copilot team since day one. I currently lead the implementation of OpenAI models across all Microsoft Copilots: driving model quality evaluation, feature development, and deployment. This has been the largest rollout of compliant LLMs to enterprise customers to date.
I became interested in AI in 2015, when I came to attend Singularity University, based at the NASA Research Park in Mountain View and I knew immediately that this was what I wanted to do. Previously, I also worked at Amazon Robotics, optimizing human–robot systems. I thrive in, and most enjoy, working with small, highly technical teams.
LESSONS LEARNT FROM SHIPPING AI PRODUCTS AT SCALE
Some useful frameworks I have developed over the last few years, read them here [coming soon].
SOME PERSONAL THINGS
I was born in Poland, and have lived in London, Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto), Singapore, and now San Francisco.
In addition to CS engineering degree from MIT, I hold a Fine Arts degree from the University of the Arts London.
I love skiing and the mountains in every season.
Since much of my work is intense, screen-based, and focused on building artificial intelligence, in my personal time I enjoy slowing down and preserving the qualities, traditions, and rituals that make us uniquely human.
